Air Styx

Air Styx

Due to clashes in the system, Air Styx only has three seats left on the flight to “Tartarus” and five people are in desperate need to be on this plane. With the choice of who gets to fly, we learn about their inside story as to why they deserve it. As we follow through the journey, we will realize that the power to live will have a different meaning when you come to face death.

My Role

  • Director / Producer / Flash Developer

What I Learned

The project was a great opportunity to further develop my skills in Flash by integrating chroma keyed footage and other video elements.

Although the end result is not web friendly, it helped me learn what to do better when it comes to integrating a variety of media assets in Flash.

Even though we were under a tight time constraint and all of us were burned out from previous projects, we gathered our leftover energy and worked through late nights to get the project done.

As the Director, I assigned tasks within the team to produce different assets of the project. I provided constructive feedback and technical advice so that each asset would fit to the overall vision of AirStyx. As I integrated all these elements in Flash, it was essential for me to have an overview of the process and effectively manage the project.

This combination of rich media (interactivity, 3D graphics, image compositing, video and sound) is a result of effective collaboration by a team of creative minds and diverse skills.

I am very proud of Team JAMAKA for working so hard on our last sprint of production to make AirStyx happen.
